The Issue Hope is a beautiful town nestled in the mountains at the northern end of the Fraser Valley in British Columbia. It is at the confluence of 3 major highways, an hour from an international airport that specializes in freight, and an hour and a half from I-5, the number 1 corridor for trafficking in the world. It is also the home of a number of First Nations communities. These communities in Canada have been working on reducing the number of Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls for years.
The Project Hope Community Services and other local agencies work to provide children and families with resources including early childhood education, clothing, and food. Story Time in the Park is an annual event that has a 21 year history - and counting. Families attend the event in Memorial Park where there is singing, dancing, and the reading of a book of which each child has a copy. It's a great opportunity for families to connect with local agencies and spend quality time with their little ones.
Project Info The team spent 54 hours sewing 18 garments in 2025 for this community. 4TheChildren has an ongoing relationship with Hope Community Services and they will be receiving dresses on a regular basis throughout the year.
Thank You "We are grateful to Hope Community Services for the work they are doing to serve their community. Their warmth and generosity makes it easy to partner with them on a long term basis." - Rosie
